Board Games

Our board games setup in April seemed to work well so we plan on the same setup going forward. There will be three main online platforms with some further suggestions for a few other games that can be easily be played via Discord.

Tabletopia

A great way to play games online. Has both free and paid options. On the free option many games only allow a very limited numbers of players. However some have more including:

Villagers (up to 4 players)

Secret Hitler (up to 8 players)

Clans of Caledonia (up to 4 players)

Dice Hospital (up to 4 players)

Santorini (up to 4 players)

Roll Player (up to 5 players)

If you want to play with more players remember only one player has to have a paid account, they can then invite the others. More tech support can be found here

BoardGameArena

Not quite as sleek as TableTopia, but has a wider variety of free games which are easier to find.

Some games are premium and can only be started by a premium player, however for the others you can create a table and invite players with a link. To play with folk at ScaledCon select manual opponent selection, then play with friends and navigate through to get a link to send people. More tech support can be found here

Steam

the well known online computer games portal also sells some online boardgames. It even has a few free ones you could play with friends online including:

Memoir ’44

Risk

Imagination

Oh look Scythe, there is an online version you can buy from Steam too.

Printable Write and Roll Games

Online Battleships Game

The old favourite, handy if there are just two of you wanting to play a quick game http://en.battleship-game.org/id17227335/classic

And Finally …

If you want something a little more tactile, here is an online Jenga balancing blocks tower – enjoy! Sadly you can’t take it in turns but everyone can have a tower of their own and play on the honour system.
